Corticosteroids (say: kor-ti-koe-STER-oids) are a group of medicines, which include:

  • dexamethasone​ (say: deks-a-METH-a-sone)
  • hydrocortisone (say: hye-droe-KOR-ti-sone)
  • methylprednisolone (say: meth-il-pred-NIS-oh-lone)
  • prednisone (say: PRED-ni-sone)
  • prednisolone (say: pred-NIS-oh-lone)
