Hepatitis C is a virus that affects the liver. If you have hepatitis as a child, learn about how you got it and how you can look after yourself.

  • Hepatitis C is a difficult disease to pass on, not like the flu or a cold. You cannot give Hepatitis C to your friends when you do your regular activities such as playing, sitting next to your friends in class or hugging them.
  • Remember: If you are bleeding, do not let anyone touch your blood. Also, do not touch anyone else’s blood.
